Lifestyle and Activities Coordinator (Part Time Bayside Brisbane)

Your role as the Lifestyle Coordinator will be to provide a balanced program of activities involving outings, special events, organised speakers, special therapies such as music and pets as well as craft and other interesting demonstrations and activities for the elderly residents at this Bayside Facility. This is a permanent part time role.

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and caring Lifestyle Coordinator who can hit the ground running. Suitable applicants should hold a Certificate IV in Community Services (Lifestyle and Leisure), Diploma of Diversional Therapy, Certificate IV in Aged Care or similar. You will have previous experience in a similar role and knowledge of contemporary aged care diversional therapy activities and documentation requirements. More importantly, our client is seeking a Lifestyle Coordinator with that something special, the type of person who gives everything 110% and brightens everyone s day with their positive outlook!

Key responsibilities include:

• planning and implementing leisure activity programs for elderly residents to assist in their social development, and promote their sense of wellbeing
• evaluating and assessing clients' levels of abilities, interests, needs, strengths and weaknesses, and their ability to carry out a range of tasks and interact with others
• assisting with training and supervising volunteers and staff
• providing information on available support resources within the local community
