When did you join the company?
I joined the business in January 2005, fresh from a backpacking adventure through South East Asia. Back then, the company was much smaller, and I started in an accounts role. Over the years, I’ve grown with the business—progressing through the operations team to my current role as General Manager. Along the way, I’ve been proud to receive recognition including Franchise Council of Australia NSW Field Manager of the Year and being named one of the Top 20 Franchise Executives.

Background, experience/qualifications
My career didn’t start in an office—I actually trained and worked as a horticulturalist! But after a few seasons of sweating it out in the heat and rain, I realised I was better suited to an air-conditioned environment. Since joining the company in 2005, I’ve been fortunate to work with some incredible mentors who helped shape my career. I’ve built deep experience across operations and leadership, and have developed a strong understanding of how to grow a business, lead teams, and support franchisees through all stages of their journey.

Something people don’t really know about me
Before my corporate career, I worked as a horticulturalist—so I know my way around a greenhouse! It didn’t take long to realise that constant heat and rain weren’t for me, and I made the switch to indoor life. It’s a career change most people wouldn’t guess.

Typical responsibilities
As General Manager, my main focus is supporting our network of franchisees and their teams. I work closely with both the franchisees and our head office support team to ensure our agencies have the tools, guidance and encouragement they need to thrive. No two days are ever the same—it’s fast-paced and varied, which keeps things interesting.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
Without a doubt, it’s the people. I feel lucky to work alongside such passionate, capable individuals—and proud of the culture we’ve cultivated together. I genuinely love seeing our teams succeed and watching the relationships we’ve built over the years continue to grow stronger.
